    CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP: Welcome Corporate Membership Women In Insurance (Vic) offers Corporate Membership for up to 50 people from the same organisation, including Lists of barristers, at a cost of $750 per year. You can add and remove members throughout the course of the year by completing the Update Corporate Membership form (see below) or by emailing us. After adding your details and uploading the completed application form on the next page, you will be able to make payment of the Corporate Membership fee using our secure payment gateway. Once paid, you will receive a receipt by email. If you have any issues with making payment via our website, please contact the Membership Officer by email to membership@wii.org.au . Once your application has been approved by the Women In Insurance (Vic) Committee, your members' details will be added to our database and each member will receive an email inviting them to complete sign up to our Members Area, as well as emails about our upcoming seminars and events. We will also send you a confirmation email once everything has been processed. To do so, please click the "Update" button below and complete the form. Once received, we will update your new or removed members' details in our database. Any new members will receive an email inviting them to complete sign up to our Members Area, as well as emails about our upcoming seminars and events. Update Terms & Conditions When you apply to become a Corporate Member Organisation and nominate up to 50 persons from your organisation to be Corporate Members of the Association, you acknowledge that you understand the following: That the application to become a Corporate Member Organisation will be reviewed by the Women in Insurance (Vic) Committe e. That the offer of membership to a Corporate Member Organisation will be at the sole discretion of the Committee and any decision made is final and absolute. Any membership will run for a period of one year. That a maximum of 50 persons from the Corporate Member Organisation (nominated persons) may (at the sole discretion of the Committee) be accepted for Corporate Membership as a benefit of the Corporate Member Organisation membership. All nominated persons are either employed by, an officer of, or a member of the Corporate Member Organisation. If any of the nominated persons are accepted for corporate membership and subsequently leave the Corporate Member Organisation in the membership year, they will remain Corporate Members of the Association. The Corporate Member Organisation membership is not a sponsorship and does not entitle the entity to any benefits of sponsorship. No voting rights vest in a Corporate Member Organisation member. Having opted to sign up for a Corporate Membership with Women In Insurance (Victoria), the Corporate Member Organisation confirms: It, and its Corporate Members, will abide by the Constitution of Women In Insurance (Vic); It has read and agrees to our Privacy Policy ; and It has read and agrees to our Refund Policy . Women In Insurance (ABN 54 494 488 786) is a non profit organisation and is not required to register for GST.     Excellence Award The Women In Insurance Excellence Award represents an opportunity for women to be recognised by their peers as being the best at what they do. It is also an opportunity for the winner to inspire the next generation of women in insurance and the insurance community at large. Sadly, in May 2024, Olivia Warwick, who was a committee member of Women of Insurance (Victoria) for many years, passed away after a short battle with cancer. Olivia was an avid supporter of our organisation and inspired many people in the industry to achieve their goals. In recognition of Olivia's long-standing service on the Women In Insurance (Vic) Committee and her many career achievements, the Committee dedicates this award to Olivia, with it now being called "The Olivia Warwick Excellence Award".     Meet our Committee Members COMMITTEE COMMITTEE: Text BETH RUSSELL President Beth is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury (NSW) and Partner in the Liability Insurance team at Moray & Agnew, after moving to Victoria from NSW in 2019. She is also the Chair of the LIV Public Liability and Medical Negligence Committee. Outside of work, Beth likes to spend time with a good book, a glass of champagne and her 2 mini-sausage dogs. SHAUNTELLE LIM Vice President Shauntelle is a Special Counsel in the Public Liability and Professional Indemnity team at DWF Law, acting predominantly for insurers and self- insureds, in relation to a large range of insurance products, claims and disputes. Shauntelle spends her spare time being outdoors with her two daughters and enjoys travelling and trying out new restaurants. NIEVA CONNELL Secretary Nieva is a Partner of Mills Oakley, specialising in liability insurance. Nieva spends her spare time travelling and catching up with friends over a glass of champagne. VICTORIA PAPPAS Treasurer Victoria is a Senior Associate at Kennedys. Her practice includes life and disability claims, professional indemnity, public and product liability, and regulatory disputes. Victoria is an avid dancer and alongside dance classes & training, she spends her spare time going to the theatre, travelling, and hanging out with her partner and cat. LYRA ANG Membership Officer Lyra is a Senior Associate in the Insurance and Health team at Barry Nilsson. She specialises in professional indemnity insurance claims and coverage advice. On the flip side, Lyra enjoys spending time and going on adventures with her family. ALICIA TAYLOR Events Officer Alicia is a Special Counsel in the Special Issues team at Colin Biggers & Paisley, handling sensitive and litigious matters, particularly in the religious and not for profit space. On the flip side, Alicia is studying visual art and experimenting with slow cooker recipes for minimum dishwashing potential. ANTHEA STAVRIS Social Media Officer Anthea is an Associate in the General Liability team at Wotton Kearney. She works with a variety of corporate and insurer clients in defending public liability claims, including personal injury and product liability. In her spare time, Anthea enjoys travelling and exploring new restaurants with friends. General Committee ELIF BARDAN Elif is a Senior Associate in the General Liability team at Lander & Rogers. She acts for both insurers and self-insured clients in defence of casualty claims. In her spare time, Elif enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and cooking. COMMITTEE: Meet the Team TAYLER BOURKE General Committee Tayler currently heads QBE's national Construction Claims team, with a background in legal practice and a passion for innovation in claims management. Outside of work, Tayler enjoys staying active and exploring Melbourne's vibrant foodie scene with a glass of champagne. YASMINE HAMIDI General Committee Yasmine is an Account Manager at Proclaim managing liability portfolios for the Lloyds of London syndicates, international Insurers and Australian Coverholders in relation to personal injury claims across various Australian jurisdictions. Outside the inbox, I’m all about travel, food, reading and staying active around Melbourne. SOPHIE HENDERSON General Committee Sophie is a Partner in the Forensic Accounting Services division of Sedgwick. She assesses economic loss for insurers and lawyers across a wide range of industries, with a specialisation in complex business interruption claims across mining, energy and manufacturing. Outside of work, she enjoys travel and sharing wine with friends. MARIANNA KIRCHMANN General Committee Marianna is a Senior Associate in the General Insurance team at Hall & Wilcox, acting for insurer and government clients in litigated matters across a wide variety of industries. In her spare time, Marianna enjoys travelling, reading and hosting needlessly extravagant dinner parties CLAIRE LACEY General Committee Claire is an Associate in the Insurance and Health team at Barry Nilsson, acting for insurers across a wide portfolio of motor, property, liability and indemnity claims. In her spare time, Claire enjoys spending time with her partner and two pugs and having brunch with friends. EMMA RICHARDSON General Committee Emma is an insurance veteran with nearly 15 years in the management of claims across a range of insurance classes for both Underwriters and Brokers. Currently, Emma in her role as Senior Claims Specialist at Allianz Commercial focuses on the management of Property, Energy and Construction claims within the Specialty and Major Accounts team. In her spare time, Emma enjoys getting out in the garden, spending time at the beach with her loopy dog, Fanny the Fly Catcher and traveling to see family in New Zealand and Sweden.
